Next.js & React

An AI chatbot for Next.js and React, with an API you control.

Built for developers

No SDK to install, no components to maintain.

The assistant runs in its own isolated frame from one script, so it doesn’t ship React components, add dependencies or pick up your global styles.

When you want more control, the Businesslyft() API opens, closes or toggles the chat, asks a question on the visitor’s behalf, identifies a signed-in user, and reports route changes in a single-page app.

It learns from your marketing site and docs, cites the page it used, and can call your own API for account or order lookups.

  • One script, isolated frame
  • Open, ask and identify from your code
  • Route-change aware for SPAs
  • API actions for live lookups
Setup

Add it to Next.js & React in 3 steps

Copy your exact snippet from the Install page in your dashboard. It carries your assistant’s key.

  1. 1

    Open your root layout: app/layout.tsx (App Router) or pages/_app.tsx.

  2. 2

    Import Script and add the tag inside <body>.

  3. 3

    Plain React (Vite, Create React App): paste the Any website code into index.html instead.

app/layout.tsx
import Script from 'next/script';

// Inside <body>:
<Script src="https://businesslyft.pages.dev/loader.js" data-bot="bl_pk_your_key" strategy="afterInteractive" />

Good to know before you start

  • Report route changes

    Single-page apps don’t reload between pages. Call Businesslyft('page', { path }) after each route change so page greetings stay in sync.

  • Identify signed-in users

    Businesslyft('identify', { name, email, id }) puts their name on conversations, and lead forms won’t ask for it again.

  • Content-Security-Policy

    If you send a CSP header, allow the BusinessLyft domain in both script-src and frame-src.

  • Plain React

    Vite or Create React App: paste the regular script tag into index.html instead of using next/script.
