BusinessLyft FAQ: plain answers, limits included.
What BusinessLyft is, what it costs, how leads reach your CRM, how your data is used, and what it doesn’t do yet. Plain answers in one place.
The basics
What is BusinessLyft?
BusinessLyft is an AI sales assistant for your website. It answers visitors from your own content, reads the page they’re on, starts conversations when they hesitate, and scores each lead Hot, Warm or Cold.
Who is BusinessLyft for?
Businesses that live on enquiries rather than one-click checkouts: agencies, clinics, real estate teams, consultants, coaches and SaaS companies.
What does it learn from?
Your website pages, PDFs, Word documents, FAQs and notes. It shows the sources it used, and says when it doesn’t know. It can’t crawl content behind a login, so add that as documents.
How do I install it?
Paste your website URL, then add one script tag. It works on WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Wix and any HTML site. A basic assistant is live in about 30 seconds; extras such as formulas and webhooks take longer.
What languages does it speak?
It replies in the visitor’s language by default.
Pricing
How much does BusinessLyft cost?
Free is $0 forever for 1 assistant and 100 messages a month. Pro is $10 a month for 2 assistants and 2,000 messages. Growth is $29 a month for 4 assistants and 5,000 messages. Enterprise is coming soon.
Are there other fees?
A 6% payment processing fee is added at checkout, and prices exclude tax. Each extra assistant is $5 a month. Extra messages use prepaid LyftCredits, where 100 credits cost $1.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every new account starts with a 7-day Pro trial, with no credit card needed. When it ends, the account moves to the Free plan and nothing is deleted.
What’s the difference between Free and Pro?
Free includes lead forms and scoring, 25 documents, one website crawl of up to 25 pages, and one active engagement rule. Satisfaction ratings, the Lyft-Max model and a custom watermark start on Pro.
Is pricing per seat?
No. Plans are priced per assistant, not per person. There’s no annual plan today.
Leads
What counts as a lead?
A visitor becomes a lead when they share their details through a form in the chat. Anonymous chats stay in Conversations and aren’t leads.
How are leads scored?
Hot means they asked for a next step, such as a quote, booking, callback or demo, or shared a budget or timeline. Warm means real interest with no next step yet. Cold means general or support questions.
Does it identify anonymous visitors?
No. BusinessLyft doesn’t tell you who a visitor is unless they share their details.
Does it alert me about new leads?
Not automatically. Leads appear in your Lead manager. To get alerts, add a webhook action that posts to email or Slack through Zapier, Make or n8n. It runs when the assistant uses it in a chat, not for every lead.
Integrations
Does BusinessLyft integrate with HubSpot or Salesforce?
Not natively. BusinessLyft has no built-in CRM connectors. Export leads to CSV, or send them through Zapier, Make, n8n or a webhook during the chat.
Can it book appointments?
It shares your booking link, such as Calendly or Cal.com, or collects a request for your team to confirm. Checking live availability needs an API action you connect to your own booking system.
Can it give quotes?
Yes, from formulas or a price list you set up, so prices come from your own rate card.
Data and security
Is my data used to train AI models?
No. Your knowledge and chats are only used to answer your own visitors. Workspaces are isolated, and you can delete your data at any time.
Does it read what visitors type into forms?
No. PageSense reads the page as published. It never reads what visitors type into forms, passwords or hidden fields.
Is BusinessLyft SOC 2 or HIPAA compliant?
No compliance certifications are claimed. It isn’t designed to store medical records or other sensitive health information. For compliance or data location questions, email hello@businesslyft.com.
What it doesn’t do
Can a person take over a chat?
Not yet. Live human handoff is coming soon. Today, when the assistant can’t help, it says so and collects the visitor’s details for your team to follow up.
Is it a helpdesk?
No. There are no ticket queues or SLAs. Keep your existing helpdesk for tickets.
Does it send follow-up emails or manage a sales pipeline?
No. It works on your website. Follow-up and pipeline management stay with your team, CRM or sales tool.
Will it bring more traffic to my website?
No. It turns more of the visitors you already have into leads. Traffic still comes from search, ads and referrals.
Can its answers be wrong?
Yes. It’s built to answer only from your content and cite its sources, but AI can make mistakes. Test answers in the Playground before going live.
