Why connect it

Your scenarios, fed by real conversations.

If your business already runs on Make, the website chat should feed the same scenarios as your forms and ads.

A webhook action sends a clean JSON payload with the fields you defined, so Make can map them without parsing a transcript.

Run the action’s Test tab once and Make learns the data structure from the sample.

  • Clean JSON with your own fields
  • Make learns the structure from a test
  • Signed and retried
  • Optional recent messages
Setup

Connect it to Make in 4 steps

What your webhook receives. The data object holds the inputs you defined on the action.

  1. 1

In Make, add a Webhooks → Custom webhook module as the first step of a scenario, and copy its URL.

  2. 2

In BusinessLyft, open your assistant → Actions → New action → Webhook (or start from the “Send a lead to my CRM” template) and paste the URL.

  3. 3

Describe when the assistant should use it, for example “Use when the visitor asks for a quote or a call back”, and add the inputs it must collect first, such as service, budget and timeline.

  4. 4

Click Test to send a sample, then map the fields in Make to wherever the lead should go.

POST to your Make webhook URL

Good to know before you start

  • Send a test first

Make needs one sample to learn the data structure. Use the Test tab on the action while the webhook module is listening.

  • Name the event

Set an event name per action, then use a router in Make to branch on it.

  • Keep the scenario on

Deliveries retry up to 5 times, but a scenario that is off won’t receive them.
