A webhook action sends the details the assistant collected to Zapier as soon as it decides the action fits, for example when a visitor asks for a quote or a call back.

Connect it to Zapier in 4 steps

What your webhook receives. The data object holds the inputs you defined on the action.

    In Zapier, start a Zap with Webhooks by Zapier → Catch Hook as the trigger, and copy its URL.

  2. 2

    In BusinessLyft, open your assistant → Actions → New action → Webhook (or start from the “Send a lead to my CRM” template) and paste the URL.

  3. 3

    Describe when the assistant should use it, for example “Use when the visitor asks for a quote or a call back”, and add the inputs it must collect first, such as service, budget and timeline.

    Click Test to send a sample, then map the fields in Zapier to wherever the lead should go.

Good to know before you start

  • Webhooks by Zapier is a premium app

    Check your Zapier plan includes it before you build the Zap.

  • It’s not an alert for every lead

    A webhook runs when the assistant calls it in a chat. For a full list of leads, export to CSV from the Lead manager.

  • Ask the visitor to confirm

    On by default for new webhooks: the visitor sees the details and taps Confirm before anything is sent.

  • De-duplicate on the delivery id

    Each delivery keeps the same id across retries, so a filter step can skip repeats.
